Hello. My name is Lynn. I set up The Arienas Collective which I run from my home in Edinburgh to support local creatives to earn a living by sharing their skills and passions with others through delivering workshops.
When I first started, there weren’t that many workshops being run by creative entrepreneurs…or at least not many I was aware of. But over the past few years I’m delighted that the market has flourished within Edinburgh, and throughout Scotland.
As a former mentor for Creative Edinburgh, I know I’m not the only one who found it hard getting set up, and also that there is a lot of support out there, if we know where to look. I’d like to make it easier for us to access all the help we need, and to reap the benefits of working collaboratively.
I want the network to include the widest possible range of creative activities, from all corners of Scotland. And to encourage, support and promote good practice to help ensure creatives earn an income that reflects their skills, talents and experience, and that the network is inclusive to all.
